SoC Verification
NXP SemiconductorsJob Title
SoC Verification
Role Summary
Work on functional verification of SoC/subsystem/system-level designs. Develop verification plans, build and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and VIPs, create directed and constrained-random tests, run simulations, analyze coverage, and perform root-cause debug of failures.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting expects approximately 5β10 years of professional experience in SoC/subsystem verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Create verification plans that map requirements to measurable tests and coverage goals.
- Implement and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, drivers, monitors, and response checkers; integrate advanced UVM VIPs.
- Develop directed and constrained-random stimulus and test cases for simulation regressions.
- Write and validate SystemVerilog assertions and checkers.
- Run simulations, collect and analyze functional and assertion coverage, and manage regression suites.
- Debug failures, recreate issues, and perform root-cause analysis on RTL and gate-level behavior.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Hands-on experience with C and UVM/SystemVerilog test environments.
- Proficiency in HDLs (Verilog/VHDL) and common simulators (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor).
- Ability to understand design/architecture and debug RTL and gate netlists.
- Experience with coverage-driven verification and regression management.
- Familiarity with microcontroller architectures, ARM cores, interconnects (e.g., FlexNoC), and cache coherency concepts.
- Knowledge of bus protocols such as AHB, AXI, and ACE.
- Strong debugging, logic analysis, and failure-recreation skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with memory controllers (Flash, SRAM, DDR3/4, LPDDR).
- Protocol experience: PCIe, MIPI, GPU/VPU subsystems, Ethernet, USB, image interfaces.
- Familiarity with formal verification methodologies, AVIP, pin-mux verification, and advanced randomization techniques.
- Low-power verification experience using CPF/UPF.
Education Requirements
BTech or MTech degree required (as stated in the posting). The posting does not specify a particular field of study or mention equivalent-experience language.
