Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, verification engineers, software developers, and validation teams to deliver debug infrastructure, automation, and platform-level solutions.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No explicit years of experience specified.

Responsibilities

Deliver and support hardware, firmware, and software infrastructure for SoC development platforms and debug environments.

  • Design, implement, validate, and debug hardware and software components for SoC platforms, FPGA prototypes, and emulation systems.
  • Perform pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up, failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and system characterization.
  • Develop automation, tooling, and CI/CD flows to support validation and debug.
  • Analyze system performance, power, reliability, and timing across subsystems.
  • Support low-level hardware/software co-debug across firmware, drivers, and silicon interfaces.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, vendors, and tool partners to improve methodologies and workflows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and areas of experience; preferred items follow.

  • Experience in one or more: ASIC/SoC design, hardware or system debug, validation engineering, FPGA development, emulation platforms, or CAD/EDA/software development.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills; experience with failure analysis and root-cause investigation.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting: C/C++, Python, Tcl; familiarity with Linux and embedded software environments.
  • Hardware and RTL skills: RTL design, Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA design, JTAG and trace-based debugging.
  • Experience with development tools and workflows: Git, JIRA, CI/CD automation, simulation/emulation/prototyping tools.
  • Ability to develop automation and tooling to improve engineering productivity and debug efficiency.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with complex SoC architectures (CPUs, GPU, DDR, NoC), performance/power analysis, AI-assisted validation, and emulation/prototyping platforms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required. Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
