SoC Security Architect
Role Summary
Responsible for defining and delivering system-on-chip security architecture across multiple product segments. Focus areas include Root of Trust, secure boot, key management, confidential compute, authentication/encryption, secure manufacturing, and device lifetime management.
Collaborates with hardware and software teams to perform threat modeling, set security requirements, and produce architecture and design guidelines that ensure authenticity, isolation and confidentiality of assets.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and develop SoC security architectures (Root of Trust, Secure Boot, Key Management, Confidential Compute).
- Architect access control solutions for Confidential Compute and secure media pipelines.
- Design hardware and software mechanisms for privilege management, security policy enforcement, isolation and confidentiality.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessment, and security analysis for hardware and firmware.
- Define software security requirements and collaborate with peers to refine security design guidelines.
- Support secure manufacturing, device lifetime management, attestation, and update/recovery mechanisms.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Applied cryptography expertise, including key derivation and key management, and secure boot.
- Experience with security analysis, cryptographic protocols, and certification processes.
- Knowledge of side-channel threats (SPA, DPA, fault injection) and effective countermeasures.
- Proven experience architecting SoC security for ARM or x86 platforms, including attestation and update mechanisms.
- Platform security knowledge across Android, Windows, or IoT environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in technology roadmap planning and leading multi-national security teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Confidential Compute and secure media pipeline implementations.
- Familiarity with control-flow integrity, memory safety, isolation and virtualization techniques.
