SoC Program Manager

Role Summary

Responsible for execution of complex semiconductor/SoC programs across the full ASIC lifecycle to meet schedule, performance, power and cost targets. Coordinates cross-functional engineering teams and program managers to drive tape-outs through commercial sample release.

High-visibility role that reports program status, metrics, risks and mitigation plans to senior management.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 8+ years of engineering or program experience. The posting requests 10–15 years total experience with 3+ years in project/program management.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities for successful program delivery include:

  • Manage ASIC/IP development lifecycle from concept and scoping through tape-out and commercial sample release.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders: Design, Verification, Synthesis, DFT, Physical Design and other teams.
  • Identify, track and mitigate technical and schedule risks; maintain change control and development review processes.
  • Prepare and present regular program metrics, milestones and status reports to senior management.
  • Interface with foundry and operations as needed to support manufacturing and delivery.
  • Align and synchronize program managers, marketing and engineering leads to achieve common goals.
  • Maintain program schedules and resource plans using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in ASIC/SoC lifecycle program management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and track record of program delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to synchronize multiple teams and manage cross-functional dependencies.
  • Nice-to-have: experience interfacing with foundries and operations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
