Job Title

SoC PnP Architect

Role Summary

Lead pre-silicon and post-silicon performance, power and platform (PnP) investigations for complex SoC platforms. Work across architecture, design, firmware, software and silicon teams to drive measurable improvements in performance, power efficiency and system behavior.

Role is based in Bengaluru and contributes to SoC architecture decisions, modeling, emulation, bring-up, and verification-to-silicon correlation.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 10+ years of relevant SoC performance, power and platform architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include investigation, modeling, and cross-functional delivery of SoC performance and power outcomes.

  • Lead system-level performance and power investigations across compute, interconnect, memory and IO subsystems.
  • Use and run simulation, emulation and waveform-based debug environments (e.g., Palladium, Veloce, ZeBu or equivalent) to identify bottlenecks.
  • Develop, calibrate and maintain performance/power models (SystemC/TLM, analytical, trace-driven) and correlate them with emulation and silicon measurements.
  • Support silicon bring-up, telemetry and PMU-driven post-silicon characterization and root-cause analysis.
  • Perform architectural tradeoff analysis across performance, power, area, latency, bandwidth and implementation complexity; recommend IP/configuration changes and QoS strategies.
  • Build and maintain tooling, automation and analysis flows for profiling, telemetry and data visualization.
  • Present findings and drive actionable changes with architecture, design, firmware, software and leadership teams.

Requirements

Clear distinction between must-have core skills and desirable additions.

  • Must-have: 10+ years of SoC PnP/performance architecture experience; hands-on use of simulation and hardware emulation platforms; experience with cycle-accurate, transaction-level and emulation-based performance analysis; post-silicon bring-up, performance counter/telemetry and measurement correlation; strong Linux and bare-metal debug experience; proficiency in C/C++ and Python; effective cross-functional communication and leadership.
  • Nice-to-have: experience building and calibrating SystemC/TLM or trace-driven models, familiarity with CHI/AXI/PCIe/CXL protocols, workload characterization, QoS strategy development, and prior experience translating modeling results into product-level changes.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
