Responsibilities
The engineer will design and deliver mixed-signal functions and work with cross-functional teams through the full silicon flow.
- Design high-speed mixed-signal circuits in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
- Collaborate with physical/layout engineers on floorplanning and physical implementation.
- Execute schematic-to-silicon flow: simulation, tape-out coordination, and silicon bring-up.
- Debug, characterize, and support designs through high-volume production.
- Automate tasks and analysis using scripting and tool flows.
Requirements
Key technical skills and tools required for the role.
- Proven understanding of analog circuit layout concepts in submicron CMOS and familiarity with the full silicon design flow (schematic, layout, simulation, tape-out, silicon measurements).
- Experience in one or more areas: display PHYs (HDMI, LVDS, DVI, MIPI PHY, DisplayPort), USB, low-jitter PLL-based clock synthesis, IO pads, high-speed serial links, or ADCs.
- Proficiency with analog design and verification tools (Cadence IC design environment, Virtuoso) and analog simulators (HSpice, Finesim, XA).
- Experience running and debugging DRC and LVS verification flows.
- Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python, Skill) to automate flows and debug designs.
- Effective written and spoken English and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Education Requirements
MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering is specified in the posting.
