Job Title

SoC Lead - Senior Principal Engineer

Role Summary

Lead and coordinate development of high-performance SoCs from concept through product launch. Provide technical direction across architecture, front-end, physical implementation, packaging, software, validation, test, and product engineering.

Drive execution for advanced semiconductor technologies such as 2.5D/3D integration and sub-2nm process nodes and align multi-functional teams across geographies.

Experience Level

Senior-level (Senior Principal). No specific years-of-experience stated; role requires deep technical leadership and end-to-end SoC delivery experience.

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical direction, program execution, and cross-functional coordination throughout the SoC development lifecycle.

  • Define product requirements and success criteria with architecture and business teams.
  • Provide technical leadership across architecture, front-end, physical implementation, packaging, software, validation, test, and post-silicon operations.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned product(s) during the full development lifecycle.
  • Plan programs: assess resources, set timelines, and monitor program health.
  • Manage engineering change control and feature improvement requests.
  • Perform technical capability assessments and drive improvements in tools, methods, and team skills.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate impact.

  • Direct experience with the full ASIC/SoC development lifecycle, from architecture to silicon bring-up and post-silicon commercialization.
  • Proven track record owning architecture and development of complex SoCs across multiple market segments.
  • Deep understanding of Arm-based SoC architecture, compute IPs, interconnects, and peripheral interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate across functional and geographic boundaries and lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in product definition, system software, and silicon validation.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and go-to-market readiness processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and initiative in collaborative environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; background in computer architecture, design, and product engineering.
