SOC/IP Integration Engineer
eInfochipsJob Title
SOC/IP Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Integrate 1st- and 3rd-party IPs into subsystems and SoCs, perform RTL-level integration, resolve design-quality issues, and hand off to physical design. The role works with customers and internal teams to track progress and ensure integration meets timing, performance, and quality goals.
Fully remote role; occasional travel to client office locations may be required. Competitive compensation and standard employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k).
Experience Level
Mid-level. Typical background: 5β7 years of related experience with a 4-year degree, or 3 years with an advanced degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Integrate subsystem and SoC blocks and both 1P and 3P IPs into targets and generate 3P fabrics.
- Perform RTL integration using Verilog/SystemVerilog and address synthesis and timing constraints.
- Apply floor-planning considerations and optimize performance for timing closure.
- Execute design-quality closure activities including CDC analysis, lint checks, RDC, and register integration.
- Perform quality checks and prepare PD (physical design) handoff deliverables.
- Report technical progress and issues to customers on a daily or weekly basis as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and drive delivery.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and behaviors:
- Strong understanding of RTL design and digital design concepts.
- Hands-on experience integrating IPs into subsystems or SoCs.
- Proficient with Verilog/SystemVerilog for integration tasks.
- Experience with synthesis, timing constraints, and timing/performance optimization.
- Experience with CDC, linting, RDC, and register integration processes.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and provide informal guidance to junior engineers.
- Effective customer communication and status reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites when requested.
Education Requirements
