Job Title
SoC Interconnect Technology Team Lead
Role Summary
Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of coherent and non-coherent interconnect IP for next-generation SoCs. Manage a team of architects and engineers and drive system-level interconnect strategies across CPU, GPU, NPU, memory, and system teams.
Experience Level
Senior β requires extensive, senior-level experience. Posting specifies 15+ years of relevant SoC architecture/design experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical direction, execution, and team growth related to SoC interconnect technology.
- Define and drive system-level interconnect architecture, topology, QoS, latency, bandwidth, and power trade-offs.
- Lead design of coherent and non-coherent interconnect fabrics and related IP (microarchitecture, RTL, verification strategy).
- Collaborate with CPU, GPU, NPU, memory, and system teams to ensure integration and performance scaling.
- Own performance modeling, analysis, and identification of bottlenecks across use cases.
- Drive adoption and implementation of industry interconnect standards and protocols.
- Lead debug, root-cause analysis, silicon bring-up guidance, and post-silicon validation where required.
- Mentor and develop team members; contribute to roadmap and product planning for interconnect technologies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, with preferred items listed separately.
-
Must-have: 15+ years of SoC architecture/design experience focusing on interconnects or system fabrics.
-
Must-have: Proven delivery experience on large-scale SoCs (mobile, battery-powered, or high-performance compute).
-
Must-have: Deep knowledge of coherent interconnect protocols (AMBA ACE, CHI, CCIX, CXL, or similar) and non-coherent fabrics (AXI, NoC).
-
Must-have: Expertise in performance analysis, modeling, and system trade-offs (latency, bandwidth, power); solid knowledge of cache coherency and memory hierarchy.
-
Must-have: Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects toward tape-out.
-
Preferred / Nice-to-have: Battery-optimized SoC design (low power, DVFS, power domains), exposure to AI/ML accelerators or GPUs, NoC design methodologies, and silicon bring-up/post-silicon validation experience.
-
Preferred / Nice-to-have: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Education Requirements
