Job Title

SoC Functional Validation Intern

Role Summary

Support the functional validation of System-on-Chip (SoC) devices and systems by executing and developing validation tests, debugging hardware and software, and working with experienced engineers across the product lifecycle.

The role provides hands-on exposure to pre-silicon and post-silicon tools, validation infrastructure, and SoC architecture in a fast-paced engineering team.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for students; suitable for candidates with limited professional experience. Typical candidate is actively pursuing a university degree.

Responsibilities

The intern will assist the validation team with hands-on testing, debugging, and test infrastructure tasks.

  • Contribute to functional validation of hardware designs for silicon products and systems.
  • Support hardware and software debugging to isolate and resolve issues.
  • Create and execute validation test plans to meet readiness and quality goals.
  • Develop test content and analyze validation metrics and results.
  • Help develop and implement validation infrastructure and test environments.
  • Learn and apply Pre-Si and Post-Si tools and Intel SoC architecture concepts.
  • Work onsite regularly to perform essential lab and validation activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, language ability, and legal authorization. Degree fields are listed below in Education Requirements.

  • Minimum: ~3 months experience programming in Python or C/C++ (coursework, projects, or internships acceptable).
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico; visa sponsorship not available.
  • Candidates must upload a resume in English.
  • Willingness to be regularly onsite for hands-on validation work.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience developing code for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of SoC, microprocessor, or computer architecture.

Education Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field. Requirements may be satisfied via a combination of relevant job experience, internships, coursework, or research; equivalent practical experience is acceptable where noted by the employer.
