SoC Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Manager
Role Summary
Manager responsible for functional safety and automotive cybersecurity for Arm's SoC programs in the Global Standards and Compliance team. Support development, assessment, and release of Physical AI products across automotive, robotics, and industrial domains.
Build scalable compliance approaches for ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434, improve development workflows, support external assessments, and deploy engineering best practices across SoC programs.
Experience Level
Senior (manager-level). Typically requires 7+ years of experience in semiconductor or safety-critical SoC development and compliance.
Responsibilities
Deliver program-level safety and cybersecurity compliance and readiness for automotive and robotics SoC products.
- Enable Automotive and Robotics programs from development through certification and release.
- Align engineering development practices with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Drive readiness for external assessments; conduct internal audits and reviews.
- Support teams in preparing compliance evidence, safety documentation, and assessment responses.
- Establish process improvements, training, corrective actions, and best practices across SoC programs.
- Contribute to cross-domain safety readiness initiatives across Automotive, robotics, AI, and industrial products.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Strong experience in semiconductor or SoC development within safety-critical industries.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ASPICE, IEC 61508, or similar standards.
- Experience supporting engineering teams in compliance, audits, and process improvement activities.
- Experience producing and reviewing functional safety and/or cybersecurity assessment work products.
- Ability to work across technical and organizational boundaries; strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience on automotive, robotics, AI, or industrial SoC programs.
