SOC Design Verification Sr Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Senior verification engineer responsible for SoC-level verification of NSP/DSP/Audio blocks and related IP. Lead verification strategy, develop test plans and infrastructure, and drive verification to closure across the project lifecycle.
Works within the ASICS Engineering team and collaborates with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams to validate design correctness and readiness for silicon.

Responsibilities
Accountable for planning and executing SoC/IP verification and coordinating cross-functional verification efforts.
- Define verification scope and develop verification plans and infrastructure for assigned SoC/IP blocks.
- Create, execute, and debug tests (directed and constrained-random); monitor coverage and close verification gaps.
- Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and SoC-level verification flows.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.
- Lead root-cause analysis and debug using SoC debug features (crash flow, JTAG, trace, triggers, monitors, scandump).
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Extensive SoC/IP verification experience; ownership of SoC NSP/DSP/Audio DV during projects is desirable.
- Strong understanding of SoC-level verification testbenches and verification flows.
- Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog; experience developing and using UVM-based environments.
- Knowledge of SoC debug architecture (crash flow, JTAG, trace, triggers, monitors, scandump).
- Familiarity with AHB/AXI and ATB/AMBA protocols.
- Experience with power-aware simulations and gate-level simulations.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with processor-based SoC verification and DSP/audio block verification.
- Experience integrating verification across pre- and post-silicon environments.
Education Requirements
Minimum qualifications in the posting: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of ASIC design/verification/validation/integration experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 1+ year of such experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
