Job Title

SOC Design Verification Engineer – Data Center Solutions

Role Summary

Verify next-generation Data Center SoCs used in AI, high-performance computing, and cloud infrastructure. Work on a cross-functional verification team with architects, design, and software engineers to develop scalable verification solutions and ensure first-silicon success.

Work covers multi-core CPUs, cache coherency, memory subsystems (DDR/HBM), AI accelerators, high-speed interfaces (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet), security, RAS, and power-management verification.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career - minimum 2+ years of design verification or equivalent practical experience. Senior roles may be available for candidates with proven expertise.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute verification plans for SoC, subsystem, and IP features.
  • Design and implement scalable SystemVerilog/UVM and processor-based verification environments.
  • Create directed and constrained-random test scenarios, assertions, functional coverage models, and checkers.
  • Debug RTL, testbench, and integration issues; collaborate with design teams to resolve defects.
  • Drive coverage closure using functional and code coverage metrics and lead signoff activities.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to incorporate verification requirements early.
  • Verify complex features such as multi-core CPU systems, cache coherency fabrics, DDR/HBM, PCIe/CXL, Ethernet, security, RAS, and power-management.
  • Support emulation/acceleration-based verification and contribute to methodology, automation, and AI-assisted verification flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of design verification experience at SoC, subsystem, or IP level (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience with Assertion-Based Verification (SVA).
  • Experience with coverage-driven verification and developing environments from architecture/specification through signoff.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and digital design fundamentals.
  • Experience debugging complex SoC-level issues and integrating verification components.
  • Proficiency in C; scripting and automation experience (Python) preferred.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • CPU verification, cache coherency protocols (ACE, CHI, CXL), DDR/HBM, PCIe, Ethernet, AI/ML accelerator verification, security and RAS.
  • Portable Stimulus (PSS), formal verification, emulation platforms (Veloce/Palladium/ZeBu), power-aware verification, ATE and post-silicon bring-up.
  • System performance and system power verification experience; AI-assisted verification workflows and test generation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is expected; PhD is also acceptable. Minimum qualifications state: Bachelor's + 2+ years, OR Master's + 1+ year, OR PhD. Equivalent practical experience is permitted per the stated minimum qualifications.
