Job Title

SoC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The SoC Design Verification Engineer develops and executes verification plans and environments to validate block-to-system level SoC designs. The role focuses on functional verification, emulation/simulation, debugging presilicon failures, and improving verification infrastructure across cross-functional teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 15+ years of SoC design verification experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 13+ years with a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

The engineer will create verification plans and environments, run simulations and emulations, debug failures, and collaborate with design and postsilicon teams to close coverage gaps.

  • Develop and execute scalable, reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans and testbenches.
  • Perform functional logic verification to validate specifications and find bugs.
  • Define and run emulation and system simulation models for functionality, power, and performance analysis.
  • Debug and root-cause presilicon failures; document corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL developers, postsilicon and physical design teams to improve verification methods.
  • Drive technical reviews of verification plans and strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Integrate security-focused verification activities including regressions and debug tests.
  • Maintain and enhance verification infrastructure and methodologies; incorporate postsilicon learnings into test plans.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and proven verification experience.

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and hardware simulation methodologies.
  • Experience with OVM/UVM-based verification environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware design, SoC integration, and debugging methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with C/C++ for verification and test-case development.
  • Experience with emulation and system-level simulation workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute disciplined, methodical design verification practices.

Nice-to-have:

  • Low-power design verification experience.
  • Familiarity with performance modeling and analysis tools.
  • Experience with security verification techniques and processes.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Education Requirements
