SOC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Assist in verification and validation of ASIC/SoC IP blocks within an ASICS Engineering team. Work includes supporting architecture and logic design, executing verification flows, and producing technical documentation for high-performance, low-power SoC products.
Experience Level
Entry-level (0β3 years). Preferred experience: ~6+ months with architecture/design tools, scripting/programming, and design verification methods.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support definition, modeling, and verification of IP (block/SoC) components.
- Help create architecture descriptions, circuit/logic specifications, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Execute and support design flows (e.g., RTL-to-GDS, synthesis, place & route) and verification/test processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation strategies that meet system requirements.
- Use EDA tools (including Virtuoso and other ASIC/EDA tools) as required for design and verification tasks.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
- Must-have: Basic ASIC/SoC design and verification knowledge; ability to follow established design and verification processes; effective verbal and written communication.
- Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with architecture and design tools; scripting and programming experience; familiarity with design verification methods and EDA tools such as RTL-to-GDS flows or Virtuoso; prior experience creating technical documentation.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. No certifications specified.
