Job Title

SOC Design Methodologies Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain RTL automation tools, flows, and methodologies that support front-end RTL designers and back-end library engineers across SoC and IP development. Provide technical support, own shared tooling, and enable integration of design-for-test, safety, and power-reduction logic into products.

Work within a cross-functional team to deliver reliable, automated workflows that accelerate ASIC/SoC development.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building and operating tools and workflows for RTL design automation and collaborating with multiple engineering groups.

  • Develop and deploy in-house tools and workflows supporting engineering teams.
  • Own and maintain tools that generate common RTL blocks for DFT, safety/resiliency, and power logic.
  • Act as a DevOps-style engineer for RTL automation: implement features and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Provide daily technical support to front-end RTL designers and back-end library engineers.
  • Design and integrate new workflows and methodologies into IP development environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, practical experience, and communication ability.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Understanding of fundamental digital design concepts and practical experience coding in Verilog.
  • Proficient in software engineering and scripting, including Python.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and Makefiles.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical details clearly.
  • Strong ownership mentality for tools and workflows.

Nice-to-have:

  • Verification experience.
  • Background with memory circuit design.
  • Experience with Perl scripting.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
