Job Title

SoC Design and Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Join Qualcomm's ASIC Engineering team to design and integrate high-performance SoCs for mobile, AI, compute, and XR applications. The role focuses on architecture, design, verification, and silicon feedback within a cross-functional engineering group.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical experience range is approximately 4–6+ years depending on highest degree held (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute SoC architecture and RTL design following project protocols and specifications.
  • Resolve architecture, design, and verification issues using ASIC engineering practices with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and apply design and verification strategies aligned with project goals.
  • Participate in IP design, analysis, and design reviews.
  • Identify and implement flow and process improvements through design techniques and automation.
  • Provide silicon learnings and feedback to process and design methodology teams.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications for successful candidates.

  • Must-have: Practical experience in ASIC design and verification.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with scripting and automation tools to support design flows.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex engineering issues.
  • Must-have: Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-performance SoC development for mobile, AI, compute, or XR domains.
  • Preferred: Background in IP-level design and verification and in improving design flows and methodology.

Education Requirements

Degree and experience combinations specified: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years relevant experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years relevant experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years relevant experience.
