SoC Architect - Chiplet
Role Summary
Architect the central compute chiplet for a next-generation automotive/robotics SoC, turning automotive and safety requirements into a scalable, high-performance, and reliable silicon architecture.
This role is remote, based in Munich, Germany, and sits on the Architecture team working cross-functionally with design, verification, software, and systems groups.
Experience Level
Senior — target experience: 5+ years in SoC or chiplet architecture. The company may assess candidates across levels during interviews.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, specification, and cross-team execution for chiplet designs in automotive/robotics applications.
- Define chiplet architecture and detailed specifications driven by automotive and safety requirements.
- Translate high-level system requirements into concrete microarchitecture and interfaces.
- Balance performance, power, area (PPA) and reliability trade-offs across subsystems.
- Integrate CPU subsystems, memory hierarchies, interconnects, I/O, and complex IP blocks into a cohesive design.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, verification, software, and systems teams to ensure timely execution and handoff.
- Identify features that improve PPA, safety, and overall product reliability without unnecessary complexity.
- Contribute to verification and validation planning relevant to architectural decisions.
- Ensure design decisions consider automotive-grade constraints and productization timelines.
Requirements
