Job Title

SoC Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuits for SoC IP in advanced CMOS process technologies. Work across the design lifecycle - from circuit architecture and simulation through verification and optimization - and collaborate with architecture, layout, and verification teams to deliver robust silicon-ready designs.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical experience expectations: ~4+ years with a Bachelor’s, ~2+ years with a Master’s, or ~1+ year with a PhD (see Education Requirements for degree details).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit design, verification, and cross-functional delivery of analog/mixed-signal IP.

  • Design, develop, and build analog/mixed-signal circuits in advanced CMOS nodes.
  • Create floorplans, extract chip parameters, and run circuit simulations and behavioral models.
  • Develop and execute test plans; evaluate test results and verify functionality against specifications.
  • Optimize circuits for power, performance, area, timing, and yield across corners and operating conditions.
  • Collaborate with architecture, layout, and verification teams to resolve design issues and enable robust silicon implementation.
  • Apply disciplined engineering practices and document design decisions, trade-offs, and risks.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Hands-on experience with analog simulation tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with circuit optimization techniques focused on power, area, timing, and yield.
  • Practical experience designing analog/mixed-signal blocks in advanced process nodes.
  • Ability to perform extraction, behavioral modeling, and analysis of circuit performance.
  • Experience developing and executing verification and test plans.
  • Strong collaboration and technical communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Low-power circuit design, leakage reduction, or explicit power-optimization experience.
  • Experience optimizing designs across multiple operating conditions and design corners.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field with 4+ years of analog circuit-design experience; OR a Master's degree in those fields with 2+ years of experience; OR a PhD in those fields with 1+ years of educational or work experience. Fields explicitly referenced: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical fields. No certifications were specified.
