SMTS Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Perform pre-silicon RTL verification for Rambus DRAM controller IP, covering DDR, LPDDR, HBM and GDDR technologies. Work on a team responsible for testbench development, functional coverage, regressions, and verification environment scripting.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Recent college graduate. Junior engineer with project or internship experience in RTL design or verification is expected.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop testbenches and verification test sequences for new controller features.
- Plan and implement functional coverage items and expand test suites to meet coverage goals.
- Create, run and maintain regression tests; debug, triage, and correct testbench or RTL issues.
- Develop and maintain verification environment scripting and automation tools.
Requirements
Required and preferred technical skills:
- Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog and/or UVM testbenches, or Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL project work.
- Understanding of RTL verification workflows, functional coverage, and regression methodologies.
- Working knowledge of scripting (Python or TCL) preferred.
- Familiarity with one or more I/O controller technologies (DDR/DRAM, USB, SATA/SAS, Ethernet, Graphics/GDDR) is desirable.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Project or internship experience in HDL/RTL design or verification is expected.
