Role Summary

Work within Rambus Security's verification team in Rotterdam to verify secure ASIC cores. Collaborate with ASIC designers, architects, verification engineers, release and embedded software engineers, security experts, and cryptographers to deliver robust, production-ready silicon IP. The role follows a hybrid work model with an expectation of roughly three days onsite per week.

Experience Level

Mid-level - four or more years of experience in verification or a related engineering role is required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement verification test plans, testbenches, infrastructure, and platforms for secure ASIC cores.
  • Develop and maintain verification methodologies, flows, and automation to improve coverage and efficiency.
  • Create directed and constrained-random tests, self-checking scoreboards/predictors, and assertions; perform coverage analysis.
  • Support bring-up, testing, debugging, and roadmap hardware project phases.
  • Manage regression and coverage runs and integrate verification flows with release processes.
  • Collaborate with release and integration teams to support customer integration and post-silicon issues.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Four or more years of experience as a verification engineer or in a closely related field.
  • Experience with block-level and/or system-level verification and verification of complex, configurable digital designs.
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC verification techniques: test planning, testbench creation, code and functional coverage.
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, constrained-random stimulus generation, self-checking testbenches, and assertions.
  • Familiarity with verification methodologies such as UVM or OVM.
  • Comfortable in Unix development environments and using build/scripting tools (make, shell scripting, SVN).
  • Experience with automation (Perl or Python), regression/coverage management, and bug/issue tracking in an agile process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience building object-oriented testbench infrastructure in C/C++, OVM, or UVM.
  • Familiarity with IP integration, IP delivery, and handoff issues.
  • Background in data/software/network security or cryptography.
  • Exposure to formal verification and other advanced verification techniques.
  • Experience producing technical documentation with technical writers.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field is strongly preferred; substantial, relevant work experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
