Job Title

SMTS Design Enablement (PDK)

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and maintaining Design Rule Checks (DRC) components within Process Design Kits (PDKs) for GlobalFoundries RF technologies. The role models semiconductor processes for verification flows, supports customer enablement, and collaborates with EDA vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver validated DRC solutions.

Focus areas include DRC development, automation, quality assurance, and technical support for customers and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain DRC components as part of PDKs for RF technologies.
  • Model semiconductor fabrication processes within physical verification and PEX flows.
  • Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to implement and debug DRC rules and tooling issues.
  • Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to DRC PDK components.
  • Develop and maintain automation for DRC development, validation, and QA.
  • Contribute to DRC methodologies, flows, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage PDK deliverables.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: Fundamental knowledge of semiconductor concepts; experience with physical verification and DRC.
  • Must-have: Verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in the semiconductor industry, EDA tools, or related engineering fields.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with AI automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Previous experience with RF technologies or prior GlobalFoundries experience.

Education Requirements

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
