Job Title

Silicon Validation Graduate Intern

Role Summary

Join the Silicon Engineering organization as a 12-month, full-time graduate intern focused on silicon validation of programmable devices. The role supports post-silicon validation by developing test environments, writing and executing validation content, and debugging failures.

The intern will work with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams to improve test coverage and validation methodologies.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Graduate intern). This position is intended for Masters or PhD students; 3+ months of relevant experience or coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, define, and develop system validation environments and test cases in collaboration with team members.
  • Develop methodologies, execute validation plans, and debug validation failures.
  • Work across system areas and interface with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams to improve post-silicon test content.
  • Document status and findings; write clear status reports.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Adapt to a dynamic environment and apply analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and traits.

  • Must-have: Familiarity with Python and Linux; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication.
  • 3+ months of relevant experience or coursework in one or more listed areas.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Django; experience with Makefile.
  • Ability to work in a team and produce clear status reports.
  • Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Education Requirements

Must be currently pursuing a Masters or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field. The posting also allows equivalent coursework; candidates should have at least 3+ months of relevant experience or coursework.
