Job Title

Silicon Test Engineer (Digital)

Role Summary

Member of Product Development and Test Engineering working with IC Design, Software, Systems and Operations to validate, characterize and deploy SoC IPs for 5G products in advanced FinFET processes. Focus is on enabling high-volume manufacturability through test development, validation and production deployment.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career. Candidate should have at least ~1 year of relevant product development or test validation experience; 2+ years for some schematic/circuit simulation tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

Main duties include hands-on validation, debug and production test enablement.

  • Operate automated test equipment (ATE) to validate and debug new product functionality.
  • Develop test hardware and software for characterization and production tests.
  • Characterize devices across process/voltage/temperature corners and release cost‑effective production test solutions.
  • Collaborate with IC Design, Software, Systems and Operations to resolve silicon issues and improve manufacturability.
  • Support deployment into high-volume manufacturing and production test flows.
  • Analyze yield and test data to drive test optimization and product quality improvements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted.

  • Experience in product development, test validation and high-volume production activities for SoC platforms (Compute, Data Center, Mobile, Automotive, IoT).
  • Familiarity with VLSI concepts: digital design, CPU architecture and semiconductor process fundamentals.
  • Domain knowledge in one or more: CPU, logic test (ATPG), memory (SRAM, DRAM interfaces), high-speed SerDes, sensor validation and associated test methodologies.
  • Experience with measurement and test equipment (oscilloscope, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, time interval/logic/network analyzers, ATE).
  • Software skills: Python, C++ (Java/Assembly/embedded SW are beneficial).
  • Design-for-test techniques and structural tests such as Scan/ATPG, JTAG and memory BIST (preferred).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, NI tools, Exensio) and test automation frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience with Advantest or Teradyne ATE is a plus.
  • Hands-on schematic capture and circuit simulation experience (preferred; 2+ years noted for some roles).
  • Physical ability to handle and install test equipment and work at test benches for extended periods.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering or a related field is required. Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science or related fields is preferred. The posting allows related technical fields; no specific certifications were required.
