Silicon Solution Intern - Hardware
Role Summary
Member of the Silicon Solutions team responsible for productizing NVIDIA GPUs/SOCs into customer-ready solutions. The role focuses on feature/IP bring-up, system-level characterization and validation, and cross-functional collaboration to move silicon features into production.
Experience Level
Internship / Entry-level. Intended for current undergraduate or master's students or recent graduates; no specific years of prior professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Work on silicon bring-up, characterization, and system-level feature validation across the product lifecycle.
- Develop validation, tuning and optimization methodologies; create test plans and test cases for GPU/SOC features and IP.
- Perform system-level use-case analysis, profiling, and feature ROI investigations; prototype and validate production-ready methods and control policies.
- Collaborate with system architecture, DFT, ASIC, firmware/software, platform, validation, and production teams on architecture, design, productization, debugging, and deployment.
- Design scripts and tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis; provide detailed data analysis of functionality, performance, and latency.
- Hands-on silicon bring-up, validation, and debug; coordinate feature deployment to meet product quality and schedule targets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for the role, plus a short list of nice-to-have items.

Must-have: Fundamentals of electrical engineering including digital design, computer architecture, power and timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling and statistics, and scripting ability.
- Experience with high-performance circuit areas such as low-power design, PLLs/clocking, SerDes/high-speed I/O, SRAMs, or power delivery/regulation.
- Hands-on lab experience with silicon bring-up, frequency and power characterization, tester-to-system correlation, and lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ).
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with firmware/driver structures and HW interactions; experience with Python scripting and both Windows and Linux environments.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English for written and verbal communication.
Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or a closely related field (the posting specifies BS or MS in Microelectronics/Electronic Engineering/Computer and related professionals).
