Job Title

Silicon Solution Intern - Hardware

Role Summary

Member of the Silicon Solutions team responsible for productizing NVIDIA GPUs/SOCs into customer-ready solutions. The role focuses on feature/IP bring-up, system-level characterization and validation, and cross-functional collaboration to move silicon features into production.

Experience Level

Internship / Entry-level. Intended for current undergraduate or master's students or recent graduates; no specific years of prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Work on silicon bring-up, characterization, and system-level feature validation across the product lifecycle.

  • Develop validation, tuning and optimization methodologies; create test plans and test cases for GPU/SOC features and IP.
  • Perform system-level use-case analysis, profiling, and feature ROI investigations; prototype and validate production-ready methods and control policies.
  • Collaborate with system architecture, DFT, ASIC, firmware/software, platform, validation, and production teams on architecture, design, productization, debugging, and deployment.
  • Design scripts and tools to automate product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis; provide detailed data analysis of functionality, performance, and latency.
  • Hands-on silicon bring-up, validation, and debug; coordinate feature deployment to meet product quality and schedule targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for the role, plus a short list of nice-to-have items.

  • Must-have: Fundamentals of electrical engineering including digital design, computer architecture, power and timing analysis, fault analysis, sampling and statistics, and scripting ability.
  • Experience with high-performance circuit areas such as low-power design, PLLs/clocking, SerDes/high-speed I/O, SRAMs, or power delivery/regulation.
  • Hands-on lab experience with silicon bring-up, frequency and power characterization, tester-to-system correlation, and lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ).
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with firmware/driver structures and HW interactions; experience with Python scripting and both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese and English for written and verbal communication.

Education Requirements
