Job Title

Silicon Product Development Engineer

Role Summary

Lead development and implementation of ATE test content and failure analysis plans for new data-center GPU products. Work with internal teams and external foundry, assembly, and memory vendors to improve manufacturing yields, reduce excess, and provide accurate test-time forecasts.

Experience Level

Mid-level (3–7 years). This role expects around 5+ years of direct Product Development Engineering (PDE) experience.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities focus on test development, yield improvement, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Own development and implementation of ATE test content for the product line.
  • Analyze characterization data and predict test durations to optimize test throughput and minimize excess.
  • Develop and maintain failure analysis plans to drive yield improvement.
  • Manage relationships with Foundry, Assembly, and Memory vendors to ensure delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate with Supply and Demand program management to meet chip quality and delivery targets.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills required to perform immediately in this role. "Nice-to-have" items are listed separately.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of direct PDE experience working on ASIC/GPU silicon product engineering.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with ASIC mixed-signal build, characterization, and qualification workflows.
  • Must-have: Practical knowledge of BIST and SCAN DFT methodologies and test content development for ATE.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with advanced silicon process technology (e.g., FinFET) and wafer sort/final test flows.
  • Must-have: Experience with Chip-On-Wafer-On-Substrate (CoWoS) or similar assembly stacking processes and HBM memory vendor engagement.
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop failure analysis plans from characterization data.
  • Must-have: Effective interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Deep knowledge of advanced technology nodes, assembly stacking processes, comprehensive DFT coverage, and advanced failure analysis techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
