Job Title
Silicon Performance, Power and Binning Tools Engineer
Role Summary
Work on the silicon-layer toolchain that converts simulation outputs (power, noise, binning yields, and related data) into firmware tuning, product specifications, and manufacturing limits. The role centers on integrating tools, building pipelines, and applying AI to automate analysis, validation, and data movement across simulation, firmware, and manufacturing workflows.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 4+ years of relevant hardware/software experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building production pipelines, applying AI across the toolchain, and ensuring data quality and observability for releases.
- Design and own data pipelines that translate raw simulation outputs into firmware parameters, product specs, and manufacturing limits.
- Develop and deploy LLM/agent-based automation for analysis, validation, and reporting tasks.
- Implement observability, schema validation, and integration tests to detect data errors before release.
- Collaborate with silicon architecture, firmware, manufacturing, and product teams to operationalize workflows into production.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items listed separately.
-
Must have: 4+ years in a hardware/software role involving digital design, circuit analysis, computer architecture, silicon speed and power, BIOS/drivers, or related areas.
-
Must have: Proficiency with scripting and tooling such as Perl or Python, experience with databases and web applications.
-
Must have: Strong fundamentals in algorithms and object-oriented programming; ability to decompose complex problems into reusable solutions.
-
Must have: Hands-on experience applying LLMs to engineering problems (agents, MCP, RAG) and shipping LLM-backed features in production; experience debugging those systems.
-
Must have: Strong instincts for data quality: automated checks, schema validation, and integration tests for pipeline reliability.
-
Nice to have: Silicon product proficiency (speed, power, voltage noise, binning); familiarity with MCP, DSPy, LLM evaluation frameworks; experience building dashboards and visualizations for cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
