Job Title
Signal Integrity & Power Integrity Engineer
Role Summary
Lead design, verification, and optimization of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) for high-speed interconnects across silicon, IC package, and board-level architectures. Deliver end-to-end SI/PI solutions for advanced packages, validation platforms, and development kits while collaborating with silicon, package, and board teams.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 10+ years of industry experience in Signal Integrity and Power Integrity engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end SI and PI design for IC packages, validation platforms, and development hardware.
- Define and deploy SI/PI simulation methodologies using advanced EDA tools and AI-assisted techniques.
- Perform detailed simulation, review, trade-off analysis, and post-layout simulations for package and board designs; conduct design-of-experiments (DOE) during early exploration.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system-level SI/PI issues across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing domains.
- Establish SI/PI design rules, review layouts, and improve electrical design margins.
- Collaborate with silicon architects, package engineers, and board designers to meet performance targets while minimizing cost.
- Drive forward-looking SI/PI technologies, including advanced and heterogeneous packaging, to influence future architectures.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on SI/PI experience across silicon, package, and board designs.
- Deep expertise in high-speed digital interfaces, SI/PI fundamentals, and power delivery network behavior.
- Proficiency with simulation and modeling tools such as ANSYS HFSS, Synopsys HSPICE, Cadence Sigrity, Keysight ADS, or equivalent platforms.
- Hands-on experience with silicon/package/board layout and design tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics, Cadence Allegro).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret, correlate, and validate simulation, design, and measurement data.
- Proven ability to solve complex, multi-domain SI/PI problems with a structured approach.
- Scripting and automation experience using Python, MATLAB, or similar languages (highly desirable).
Education Requirements
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with strong foundations in electromagnetics, circuit analysis, and signal processing. (These specific degree requirements were stated in the posting.)
