Signal Integrity Intern
Role Summary
Join Marvell's Signal Integrity Engineering (SIE) group to support board- and package-level signal and power integrity tasks for switch devices. The role focuses on simulation, analysis, and developing practical SI/PI solutions that meet performance and cost targets while collaborating with layout and IP teams.
Applicants may be subject to export-control eligibility screening under applicable U.S. laws.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for undergraduate students; third-year or higher undergraduates are preferred.
Responsibilities
Work with the SIE team to develop and validate signal and power integrity solutions at package and system levels.
- Develop and evaluate power integrity (PDN) and signal integrity solutions for devices and board/package implementations.
- Perform electromagnetic and circuit simulations to validate designs and propose mitigations.
- Collaborate with layout engineers and IP teams to optimize PDN and high-speed interfaces.
- Evaluate and help adopt EDA tools and contribute to flow development and scripting for simulation efficiency.
- Analyze designs against electrical performance requirements and document findings.

- Must-have: Strong interest and understanding of electromagnetic fields, waves, and distributed systems; good academic performance in related coursework.
- Must-have: Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and communicate technical results clearly.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with electromagnetic or signal/power integrity simulation tools.
- Nice-to-have: Basic scripting ability to automate simulation tasks and improve flows.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with PDN design, board layout constraints, or package-level considerations.
Education Requirements
Third-year or later undergraduate student pursuing a BSc in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics at a recognized academic institute. High grades in related courses are expected.
