Job Title

Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Signal & Power Integrity team to develop and validate system-level signal and power integrity solutions for high-performance AI systems, GPUs, and Tegra platforms. You will work cross-functionally with VLSI power, package, and board teams to optimize power delivery networks and signal performance.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Targeting candidates pursuing an MS or PhD; equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include simulation, modeling, analysis, and documentation for PDN and signal integrity across die, package, and board.

  • Perform system-level power integrity simulations for high-performance AI systems, graphics cards, and SoCs.
  • Model and optimize power delivery networks (dies, packages, boards, voltage regulators).
  • Create package and board PDN guidelines and perform post-layout PI extraction and analysis.
  • Collaborate with VLSI, package, board, and mixed-signal circuit teams to define and implement PI/SI solutions.
  • Analyze on-die current di/dt control techniques and their impact on supply noise across frequency ranges.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Strong technical background in applied electromagnetics, transmission line theory, and signal processing.
  • Experience in power integrity for core power or I/O power and understanding of how die/package/board decoupling impacts supply noise.
  • Familiarity with regulator modeling tools such as SIMPLIS.
  • Hands-on experience with PowerSI and EM/SI tools (for example ANSYS HFSS, Q3D, SIwave, Ansys 2D) or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate analysis and guidelines effectively.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience modeling regulator behavior and on-die di/dt control techniques.
  • Knowledge of package/board decoupling capacitor technology and design.
  • Scripting skills for analysis automation.

Education Requirements

Pursuing a Master's (MS) or PhD in Electrical Engineering is specified; related technical fields (electrical engineering, applied electromagnetics, signal integrity) or equivalent practical experience are acceptable.
