SI/PI Software Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and optimize software for signal-integrity (SI) and power-integrity (PI) analysis, focusing on electromagnetic field solvers and performance-critical algorithms. Work within an R&D engineering team to deliver scalable, accurate tools for large-scale systems.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Experience guidance: typically MS with 7+ years or PhD with 2+ years post-degree relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, implementation, and technical leadership of solver software and algorithms.

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance algorithms for SI/PI analysis.
• Contribute to development and enhancement of electromagnetic (EM) field solvers for large, complex systems.
• Improve software performance, numerical accuracy, and solver scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solvers into larger tool flows.
• Participate in architecture and technical decision-making for next-generation products.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience relevant to EM solver development and performance-critical C++ software.

• Strong foundation in computational electromagnetics (FEM, MoM, FDTD) and circuit theory.
• Proficiency in C++ and experience with performance-critical software development and optimization.
• Experience developing, validating, and maintaining electromagnetic field solvers for large-scale problems.
• Ability to work in an R&D environment and contribute to software architecture and technical decisions.

Nice-to-have:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for large-scale engineering challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced settings.

Education Requirements

PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. Typical experience expectation: PhD with 2+ years relevant experience, or MS with 7+ years relevant experience.
