Shift Process Engineer, Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD)

Role Summary

Support and improve assembly and packaging processes in a development environment for advanced memory and storage products. Work with cross-functional and global teams to investigate process issues, drive data-based decisions, and implement changes that improve yield, quality, and equipment effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Accountable for process troubleshooting, data analysis, and implementation of process improvements during shift operations.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve process issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, SPC, and FDC methods.
  • Analyze process and manufacturing data to improve yield, product quality, and cost performance.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, suppliers, and global sites to optimize process performance and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor process trends and implement improvements to increase process capability and equipment effectiveness.
  • Support evaluation and qualification of process changes, materials, and vendor solutions.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Experience analyzing data to solve technical problems and drive process improvements.
  • Knowledge of SPC principles and process control methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Gemini) to support tasks.

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and process equipment.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, 8D, FDC, APC, RMS, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of gas behavior, chemical reactions, and their effects on manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration in cross-functional settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
