SerDes Signal Integrity Lead

Role Summary

Lead signal integrity engineering for high-speed NRZ and PAM4 SerDes transceivers used in PCIe and Ethernet products. Work with R&D, 3DIC, packaging, and verification teams to define SI requirements, strategies, and validation plans across product lines.

Primary mission: reduce SI risk, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver robust, high-performance SerDes IP.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities:

• Define and maintain SerDes SI requirements for PCIe and Ethernet products.
• Develop SI strategy with 3DIC, package, and channel teams (bump-map, package escape, channel feasibility).
• Lead SI investigations, correlate simulation and measurement results, and document findings.
• Participate in industry SI workgroups and apply evolving standards.
• Sign off on testchip SI and RX/TX PFE design reviews.
• Support customer deliverables and debug system-level interactions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and abilities:

• Expertise in SerDes signal integrity for PCIe and Ethernet at high data rates (e.g., 128+ Gbps and 200+ Gbps).
• Hands-on experience with IBIS-AMI, ADS, MATLAB, HFSS, and simulation-to-measurement correlation.
• Familiarity with industry SI requirements, standards, and participation in workgroups.
• Proven leadership in conducting SI investigations and preparing technical documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have: customer-facing debugging experience and prior work with PFE design reviews.

Education Requirements
