Sensor Subsystem Design Engineer (Engineer or Senior level)

Role Summary

Design, implement, and verify sensor subsystem IP and components that are part of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Join the Infra-Sensors team and collaborate with architecture, software, verification, and SoC integration teams across multiple locations to deliver low-power, high-performance subsystem solutions.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include design, verification, and cross-team integration of sensor subsystem components.

  • Contribute to the design and development of ASIC and sensor subsystem components.
  • Develop RTL designs and support verification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Debug and resolve design issues throughout the development cycle.
  • Collaborate with architecture, verification, software, and SoC integration teams.
  • Support implementation of low-power design methodologies.
  • Document design decisions and produce technical deliverables.
  • Continuously develop technical expertise in sensor subsystem technologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • RTL design and development using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Strong digital design fundamentals and computer architecture knowledge.
  • Familiarity with AMBA protocols (AHB, AXI, APB).
  • Low-power design concepts and UPF methodologies.
  • Experience with lint and CDC analysis tools.
  • Experience with simulation and debug tools (for example, Verdi) or equivalents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience debugging RTL/SoC issues.
  • Ability to work effectively within global, cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Nice-to-have: specific experience with sensor subsystems or SoC integration.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 2+ years of ASIC-related experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 1+ year of ASIC-related experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
