Role Summary
Design and implement high-performance, energy-efficient cache and fabric RTL for next-generation CPU cores. Work with CPU/cache architects, physical design, and verification teams to deliver Verilog RTL, meet timing, and ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop RTL in Verilog for caches, fabric, and related datapath/control logic.
- Collaborate with CPU/cache architects to translate microarchitecture into RTL.
- Work with physical design and timing teams to meet timing and layout constraints.
- Coordinate with verification teams to ensure functional correctness and testability.
- Optimize designs for performance, power, and manufacturability.
- Participate in design reviews, debug silicon-relevant issues, and support synthesis/place-and-route flows.
- Document design decisions and maintain clear handoff artifacts for downstream teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 3+ years of hardware/RTL design experience.
- Proven, hands-on RTL design experience and strong Verilog HDL skills.
- Experience optimizing timing and working with timing closure methodologies.
- Familiarity collaborating with physical design and verification teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with CPU cache and on-chip fabric design.
- Background in energy-efficient microarchitecture and high-performance cores.
- Experience with synthesis constraints, power/perf analysis, or multi-team global development.
Education Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field (BS/MS in ECE/CS as stated in the posting).
