Senior VLSI Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Work in the NVIDIA SOC group as an ASIC/VLSI integration engineer focused on RTL integration, chip-level design execution, and enabling SOC creation through automation and methodology improvements. Collaborate with Functional Design, DFT, Verification, STA, Physical Design, CAD, Package, and software teams to deliver complex networking chips.

Opportunity to work on large-scale SOCs and improve integration flows and toolchains.

Senior β€” 7+ years of chip design or ASIC integration experience with hands-on delivery responsibility.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve chip-level integration, debugging, and flow development:

  • Lead RTL integration, partitioning, and readiness for physical implementation.
  • Perform CDC/RDC analysis, trial synthesis, and design-quality checks.
  • Diagnose and resolve functional and structural design issues; drive debug to closure.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Physical Design, STA, DFT, verification, emulation, firmware, and package teams.
  • Support emulation and system-level verification readiness and handoffs.
  • Contribute to development and deployment of integration and automation flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Minimum 7+ years of chip design or ASIC integration experience.
  • Strong, hands-on RTL design skills in SystemVerilog.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or Tcl.
  • Experience with RTL integration tasks: CDC/RDC, synthesis flows, and design-quality verification.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple engineering disciplines.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience delivering designs to physical design, emulation, firmware, or other downstream teams.
  • Experience with SOC flow automation and integration tooling.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality and production delivery.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (listed in the source). No additional certifications or explicit equivalent-experience language were specified.
