Senior VLSI Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Join the NVIDIA SoC group to lead RTL integration and chip-level design automation for complex networking ASICs. The role coordinates across ASIC, physical design, CAD, package, software and DFT teams to deliver tapeout-ready designs.
Work focuses on integration, design-for-quality, physical design readiness, emulation support, and flow development.
Experience Level
Senior-level — requires 7+ years of actual chip design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include integration and verification tasks across the chip development lifecycle:
- Implement and integrate chip-level design in collaboration with Functional Design, DFT, Design Verification, System Verification, STA, and Physical Design teams.
- Perform RTL integration, partitioning, CDC and RDC analysis, and trial synthesis.
- Drive functional debug, resolve design quality issues, and support emulation and verification.
- Ensure physical design readiness and coordinate handoff to Physical Design and CAD.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy integration and SOC build flows and automation.
- Collaborate with package, firmware/software, and downstream customers to meet delivery requirements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 7+ years of ASIC/SoC design experience involving RTL integration.
- Hands-on RTL coding and debug in SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Tcl) for flow automation and debug.
- Experience with CDC/RDC analysis, trial synthesis, and design quality checks.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience delivering designs to Physical Design, emulation, or firmware customers.
- Exposure to CAD tools, package design, or DFT methodology.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering as stated in the posting.
