Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for the role include:
- Architect, design, and implement VLSI circuits (analog and/or digital) to meet functional, performance, and power targets.
- Create and maintain RTL (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and supporting testbenches for verification.
- Run behavioral and circuit-level simulations; analyze results and iterate on designs.
- Collaborate with verification, layout, and system teams to integrate blocks and resolve issues.
- Prepare design documentation, reports, and handoff packages for tapeout and manufacturing.
- Debug silicon bring-up issues and support post-silicon validation as required.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and traits; nice-to-have items listed where applicable.
-
Must-have: Strong background in VLSI circuit design with hands-on experience in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with simulation tools and flow (behavioral and circuit-level).
-
Must-have: Experience using MATLAB for modeling, analysis, or verification.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with layout tools and tapeout handoff processes.
-
Must-have: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an engineering team; good problem-solving and communication skills.
