Responsibilities

Core responsibilities for this engineering role include:

• Design, implement, and maintain VLSI CAD tools and libraries with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Write high-quality C++ code and participate in architectural design and code reviews.
• Profile and optimize algorithms and data structures for large-scale chip designs.
• Integrate tools into existing flows and ensure interoperability with other EDA components.
• Debug complex system-level issues and provide robust, tested fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices for tool development.

Requirements

Must-have technical qualifications and skills:

• 10+ years of CAD/EDA software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and modern software development practices.
• Experience building or shipping VLSI CAD tools or similar high-performance engineering software.
• Proven ability to optimize performance for compute- and memory-intensive workloads.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments, version control, and continuous integration.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience applying AI/ML techniques to EDA or design automation problems.
• Familiarity with hardware design flows (RTL, synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis).
