Senior VLSI CAD Software Engineer

Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain software components for high-capacity, high-performance chip design and visualization:
- Design, implement, review, test, and support CAD/EDA desktop engineering applications and visualization tools.
- Develop algorithms and models for physical VLSI design automation and related data processing.
- Contribute to system architecture and object-oriented design choices.
- Participate in Agile practices, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Collaborate with internal engineering customers to gather requirements and deliver usable tools.
- Optimize performance and scalability of design automation components.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in CAD/EDA tool development.
- Expert-level proficiency in C++, Java, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of CAD data structures and algorithms, especially for physical VLSI design automation.
- Proficiency with modern software platforms and tools (e.g., C++20, Java 21, git, IDEA/Visual Studio/CLion, unit test frameworks, CI/CD).
- Experience in software system architecture and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with AI-based code assistant tools and modern developer tooling.
- Ability to adapt to evolving team scope and priorities and apply sound software design principles.
- Nice-to-have: experience designing large-scale design automation tools, performance analysis and tuning, and knowledge of at least one physical CAD data model.
Education Requirements
MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering — or equivalent practical experience.
