Senior Verification Engineer (VIP team)
Role Summary
The Verification IP (VIP) team develops and maintains verification IP used across Arm hardware products. This role designs, implements and maintains VIP components for AMBA protocols and works with IP and subsystem teams to deploy and support those components.
Salary: £73,500 - £99,500 per year.

Senior; role title indicates senior level (typically associated with 7+ years' experience).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and maintain Verification IP for AMBA protocols.
- Collaborate with AMBA architects on new protocol definitions and provide verifiability feedback.
- Plan and deliver VIP updates with the VIP team.
- Validate VIP and maintain high quality and documentation of deliverables.
- Drive VIP adoption and support integration into user test benches.
- Provide remote and occasional onsite support to VIP users across Arm offices.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Practical experience with SystemVerilog and UVM; solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in IP and SoC verification and verification methodologies.
- Experience building test benches, integrating VIP and designing test bench components.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex hardware and software issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on knowledge of Arm architecture and AMBA protocols (e.g. CHI, AXI, DTI).
- Experience with emulation or acceleration-based verification.
- Familiarity with software workflows such as Continuous Integration.
- Experience using AI tools to assist verification work.
