Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer - SystemVerilog/UVM, SerDes

Role Summary

Lead verification of high-performance data communication systems, focusing on SerDes and other high-speed interfaces. Own verification strategy, testbench development, and closure activities for advanced semiconductor projects.

Work within a cross-functional engineering team to review design specifications, drive verification plans, and support silicon bring-up and release readiness.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 7+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute verification plans for SerDes and related high-speed IP.
  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, stimulus, and scoreboard components.
  • Create directed and randomized tests; implement coverage-driven verification strategies.
  • Run simulations, analyze failures, root-cause issues, and drive fixes with RTL designers.
  • Integrate and use simulation and verification tools; manage regression suites.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL, validation, and firmware teams to close verification gaps.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process and methodology improvements.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience for complex IP verification.
  • Demonstrated experience verifying SerDes or other high-speed interfaces.
  • Proficiency with simulation tools and standard verification flows.
  • Scripting skills for automation (Python, Tcl, Perl or similar).
  • Experience working on semiconductor or ASIC projects and collaborating across teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with emulation, FPGA prototyping, or formal verification.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, or other high-speed interconnects.
  • SoC-level verification experience and system integration testing.
