Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer - Media IP

Role Summary

Join the Arm Systems Media IP team to lead verification for image, display and video IP within Arm Compute Subsystems. The role owns verification planning, architecture and sign-off for DPU subsystems or complex units and works across architecture, design and software teams to integrate IP into systems.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Specific years of experience not stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Accountable for verification delivery and quality for complex IP or subsystems.

  • Own verification activities for a DPU subsystem or a particularly complex DPU unit from planning through sign-off.
  • Define verification plans, coverage models, sign-off criteria and measurable quality goals for the owned scope.
  • Architect reusable, scalable SystemVerilog/UVM environments and verification IP.
  • Integrate verification strategy across units and subsystems; align dependencies across teams.
  • Identify technical and schedule risks early, drive mitigation and resolution across teams.
  • Lead resolution of complex unit-level, cross-unit, integration or system-level failures and support regression/debug flow improvements.
  • Use verification data to identify quality gaps, improve bug discovery and influence engineering priorities.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical verification experience.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with SystemVerilog and UVM, including designing complex verification environments.
  • Practical experience with on-chip bus protocols such as AMBA APB and AXI or equivalent industry protocols.
  • Proven ability to develop verification plans from scratch: strategy, stimulus, checking, coverage, risk assessment and sign-off.
  • Experience owning verification for a subsystem comprising multiple units or for a particularly complex unit.
  • Experience developing verification testbenches and operating regression/triage workflows.
  • Hands-on programming in Python, C or similar for automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with tools/infrastructure that support verification workflows (regression setup, version control, linting).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder alignment and ownership of cross-team work.

Nice-to-have:

  • Power-aware verification experience.
  • Formal verification experience.
  • Experience at IP or subsystem level and with performance analysis.
  • Experience with reference models developed in C or contributions to conferences/technical papers.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
