Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer (IP verification)

Role Summary

Join Arm's Systems team to verify complex IP blocks and subsystems used across mobile, server, IoT and automotive markets, with emphasis on AI use cases.

The role focuses on verifying IP such as crypto accelerators, HW DVFS components, PCIe controllers and interconnect fabrics, ensuring functional correctness and software interoperability.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 7+ years of relevant verification or SoC validation experience, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

Responsibilities

Deliver verification plans, testbenches and software tests; drive verification activities and collaborate across teams.

  • Write test plans and define verification methodologies.
  • Develop C-based software tests and SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and testcases.
  • Debug test failures and resolve integration issues with software and other IPs.
  • Plan tasks, provide status reporting and coordinate with project leads.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, modelling, silicon validation, FPGA and board teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with verification approaches such as UVM, formal or power-aware verification.
  • SoC verification experience including low-level embedded programming (C/C++ and assembly).
  • Experience across verification stages: requirements capture, methodology and test plan creation, testbench implementation and test development.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills; familiarity with IP/SoC verification flows.
  • Clock domain crossing verification and experience with DFT/DFD/GLS.
  • Power-aware verification using UPF.
  • Automation and scripting experience (Tcl, Perl, Python, shell, etc.).
  • Willingness to explore and apply AI-based methods to digital verification.

Nice-to-have:

  • Exposure to formal tools (e.g., JasperGold / VC formal).
  • Prior experience in hardware security or cryptographic algorithms.
  • Understanding of machine learning applications in verification and knowledge of Arm proprietary tools/environments.
