Job Title
Senior Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Display Verification team to develop verification plans, build UVM-based infrastructure, and lead verification sign-off for GPU and SoC display IP. Work with architects and ASIC engineers to deliver silicon-proven display engines used across consumer, professional, automotive, and AI products.
This role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-site collaboration, and automation to increase verification throughput and quality.
Experience Level
Senior β 10+ years of relevant verification or ASIC experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification strategy, testbench and infrastructure development, and cross-team debugging and sign-off.
- Define verification scope and develop functional and performance testplans; drive coverage closure and metrics tracking.
- Design and implement UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, checkers, and C/C++ reference testbenches and models.
- Build and maintain scalable verification infrastructure; leverage AI and automation to reduce repetitive work and accelerate debug.
- Debug complex failures, root-cause issues, and support silicon bring-up and post-silicon verification.
- Collaborate with architects, ASIC engineers, external partners, and customers to resolve system-level integration issues.
- Validate display protocols, MMU/SMMU behavior, and system low-power sequences in integration contexts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 10+ years of relevant verification experience, ideally on shipped silicon.
- Strong hands-on expertise in UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog; experience with constrained-random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertions.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++ for testbenches, debug models, and tooling.
- Experience with industry EDA and debug tools (eg. VCS, Verdi/Debussy, GDB) and strong software engineering practices (version control, code review, maintainable code).
- Domain knowledge of display pipelines and protocols (DisplayPort, HDMI, MIPI DSI/CSI), MMU interactions, and system low-power features.
- Ability to reason about architecture, influence micro-architecture decisions, and communicate effectively across teams and time zones.
- Self-starter with experience using AI/automation to improve verification productivity.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field β or equivalent practical experience.
