Senior Verification Engineer
Role Summary
As a Senior Verification Engineer on Intel's Central Engineering Group, you will lead verification planning and execution for complex IPs and subsystems used in NIC, IPU and AI products. You will develop verification strategies, build scalable test environments, and apply simulation, formal property verification, and AI-assisted tools to identify and close design issues before silicon.

Responsibilities
Technical leadership and hands-on verification accountability across IP and subsystem integration.
- Own verification planning and execution for key IP features and integration points.
- Design and build reusable test benches, checkers, VIPs and behavioral models.
- Develop unified simulation and formal verification strategies to find bugs and close coverage.
- Collaborate with architecture, design and software teams from specification through bring-up.
- Drive functional signoff and validate performance and power metrics.
- Lead delivery to multiple customers while balancing schedules and resources.
- Mentor verification engineers and establish verification best practices.
- Integrate AI-assisted and automation tools into verification flows.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and experience required for the role.
- 10+ years of functional verification experience for ASIC, SoC or FPGA designs.
- Expertise in SystemVerilog, OVM/UVM and industry debug tools.
- Proven experience creating IP test environments and reusable verification collateral.
- Proficiency with formal verification methods and SystemVerilog Assertions.
- Strong digital design fundamentals and microarchitecture knowledge.
- Experience implementing and analyzing code and functional coverage.
- Scripting/programming experience (Python, Perl, Shell) and familiarity with SystemC for verification flows.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive technical delivery.
- Nice-to-have: experience with Ethernet/switching/routing, cryptographic protocols (IPSec, DTLS, MACSec), AMBA (AXI/APB), and ML/AI-driven verification methodologies.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred: Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
