Job Title
Senior Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Senior Verification Engineer on the silicon verification team responsible for pre‑silicon RTL verification of ML/AI ICs for data‑centre scale-out. Work closely with modelling, architecture and RTL design teams to define verification scope, ensure functional correctness of RTL releases, and improve verification workflows.
Experience Level
Senior — preferred 6+ years of relevant verification or software/hardware engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities involve planning and executing pre‑silicon verification and collaborating across teams to raise RTL quality.
- Define verification plans from specifications and drive execution to closure.
- Design and build testbenches, stimulus, checkers and functional models for RTL blocks.
- Debug RTL failures and waveforms; work with designers to triage and fix issues.
- Contribute to specification and architecture discussions to ensure testability and correctness.
- Improve verification workflows by bringing software ideas to hardware processes and automating where possible.
- Collaborate with software, modelling and system teams to integrate verification into the full‑stack development flow.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
- Strong software skills (Python or another object‑oriented language such as C++).
- Solid understanding of digital hardware and the ability to read and debug RTL in SystemVerilog.
- Experience debugging waveforms and tracing functional failures to root cause.
- Demonstrated track record in delivering verification work in a high‑performance team.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Pre‑silicon RTL verification: verification planning, stimulus creation, coverage definition and closure.
- UVM, Transaction‑Level Modelling (SystemC or equivalent), and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
- Experience with cocotb, Verilator, Icarus Verilog, or commercial EDA tools; familiarity with formal methods.
- Experience working in monorepo environments and contributing to architecture discussions.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
