Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the Solution Engineering division responsible for verifying RTL that implements upcoming features in Arm SoCs. The role ensures new functionality matches architecture requirements and that existing features remain correct.

Work closely with RTL and verification teams to develop verification environments, tests, and strategies for IP/SoC projects.

Experience Level

Senior — more than 3 years of IP/SoC verification experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The engineer will design and execute verification activities to validate RTL and ensure feature correctness and regression stability.

  • Collaborate with RTL designers to understand microarchitecture and identify verification targets.
  • Develop and extend verification environments, stimulus generators, and checkers.
  • Write and execute verification plans and test cases to validate new features and prevent regressions.
  • Implement verification strategies in coordination with other verification engineers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodology and flows.
  • Mentor early-tenure verification engineers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • More than 3 years of IP/SoC verification experience.
  • Advanced SystemVerilog and Verilog skills and deep knowledge of UVM methodology.
  • SoC verification experience using C testcases and testbench development with standard methodologies.
  • Experience writing verification plans and test plans.
  • Experience with Arm-based designs or Arm system architectures.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating across distributed, multi-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB) and JTAG/SW/TAP.
  • Experience with power, clock-domain crossing, and reset-domain crossing issues.
  • Exposure to low-power design techniques (UPF/CPF).
  • Experience with DFT concepts such as scan tests and MBIST.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related technical field.
