Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify RTL implementations for Arm-based SoCs by developing and executing verification plans, testbenches, and coverage strategies. Work within a Solution Engineering verification team to ensure new and existing functionality meets architectural and quality requirements.

Collaborate with RTL designers, architects and software teams to close functional and code coverage, debug complex issues, and improve verification infrastructure and methodologies.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 5+ years of IP, subsystem, or SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with RTL designers and architects to interpret specifications and microarchitecture details.
  • Develop and enhance validation environments: stimulus generation, checkers, and coverage infrastructure.
  • Create and execute verification and test plans; implement verification strategies.
  • Drive functional and code coverage closure and report verification status.
  • Debug and resolve complex design and verification issues across HW/SW interfaces.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodologies and infrastructure.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of IP, subsystem, or SoC verification experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Verilog.
  • Experience with UVM or other industry-standard verification methodologies.
  • Experience developing constrained-random verification environments and reusable verification components.
  • Experience developing verification strategies and test protocols.
  • Understanding of SoC verification flows that incorporate software elements.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for geographically distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Arm-based designs or Arm system architectures.
  • Experience with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB).
  • Experience with JTAG, SWD, or TAP-based debug infrastructures.
  • Experience with CDC, RDC, and power-aware verification; UPF/CPF exposure.
  • Exposure to low-power design techniques and DFT concepts (scan, MBIST).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
