Senior Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Verification Engineer will verify RTL for Arm-based SoCs, develop and maintain verification environments, and ensure new and existing functionality meets architectural and quality requirements. The role sits within the Solution Engineering division and works closely with RTL designers, architects and distributed verification teams.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of experience in IP, subsystem, or SoC verification.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with RTL designers and architects to interpret specifications and microarchitecture details.
- Design, develop and enhance verification environments (stimulus generation, checkers, coverage infrastructure).
- Create and execute verification and test plans.
- Implement verification strategies and drive functional and code coverage closure.
- Debug and resolve complex design and verification issues.
- Improve verification methodologies, infrastructure, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 5+ years of IP, subsystem, or SoC verification experience.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Verilog.
- Experience with UVM or other industry-standard verification methodologies.
- Experience developing constrained-random verification environments and reusable verification components.
- Experience creating verification plans and working with software-driven verification flows.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Strong debugging, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills for distributed teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Arm-based designs and Arm system architectures.
- Familiarity with AMBA protocols (CHI, AXI, AHB, APB).
- Experience with JTAG/SWD/TAP debug infrastructures.
- Experience with CDC/RDC, power-aware verification, UPF/CPF, low-power techniques.
- Exposure to DFT concepts such as scan and MBIST.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
